Working primarily in video, installation, and sound, I magnify the in-between moments that saturate our existence. Moving parts and multiple angles of approach keep my work from settling into a single, comfortable reading. Motors and wires remain in plain sight in order to illuminate my process, and to intentionally offer a “look under the hood”.

 

My installations are frequently immersive and depend on viewer participation. ‘A Seat at the Table’ uses bodies as sound conduits, while ‘Blindsight’ treats eyelids as an empty canvas. I use simple materials in unexpected ways to interrupt autonomic responses and cultivate a sense of wonder.
