In the ‘Strata’ series, my subjects are presented through windows, re-creating my own experience of seeing through a lens. The viewer, taking on my perspective, becomes the outsider. Subjects are shown entangled within their personal spaces—the details in the environment blending with the reflection of the outside world to create an entirely new and indistinct space. This invites the viewer to choose between two or three different planes in order to guess at what is significant and what is not.
